I thought the bungalows were really great, air conditioned and with fans. And the one we had was in an excellent position to the pools and food and facilities.
We were lucky enough to get Bungalow number 1. On our next trip we would only book say bungalows no.s 1 to 5. The bungalows at the top end ,say 46... would be too far away for us. We cleaned our rooms which was no problem at all for us and the $10 vouchers were a nice touch. The break was worthwhile but we found the meal pricing around the restaurants was too structured,(even) eg the same wine cost the same at every restaurant which gave the feel that wherever you went the price was the same. The overall presentation of the resort was excellent.
We thought the bungalows were well designed and very comfortable. IN fact the design added a great deal to the holiday atmosphere
We went there because my son picked it as his wedding venue. The chapel and the service there were excellent. Accommodation was very good. However, reception, i.e. where we had our lunch that was a bit cramped and the service was quite slow. Overall, however, we all enjoyed the wedding. Regards Rosemarie
Service in the restaurant (wedding lunch) was very slow.
We have stayed in the bungalows previously approxiamately eight years ago and it was the best vacation we have ever had so decided to return again plusone this time :) Great location, walking distance to restaurants, beach, pools, shops, medical centre and marina.
Our bungalow was one which has not been renovated yet so was abit tired looking, but I know that it will be upgraded in the future.
They were nice & quiet, yet central to beach & marina.
The Bungalows were a great option at the island because its informal layout and location. Close to the pool and main beach. The room is spacious, clean and very comfortable. I found the price very fair for the whole thing.
The hotel staff could provide better information about the activities available at the Great Barrier Reef. A better welcome letter explain the possibilities would be great.
Easy to walk to any activity. Roomy. Quiet. Affordable for most people, even though I do think that it is very expensive to travel in Australia, and that is why alot of people are opting for the Asian getaways. Great to have the free shuttle buses and water sport activities included in price. Everybody we met were helpful and friendly.
Very roomy, comfortable accommodation within walking distance to many Hamilton Island attractions.
Liked the location, breakfast deals, use of tennis courts etc that came with the booking.
The Bungalows do need a good spring clean. We had curtains that needed attending to and the unit need a good clean with the dust etc. A microwave would be a great addition to the units.
The Rooms where not as over priced as the rest of the island and it was nice to have your own private space. Plus they were very clean, comfortable and had everything you need.
Private, short walk to the beach and was comfortable.
Little bit pricey, but we were staying on an island so to be expected....
The setting, closeness to beach and amenities, privacy .
Decor was dated, not enough staff on reception desk when checking out.
Fantastic location and access to Whitehaven. Booking is advised as many activities are very popular. A huge range of options await any visitor.
If anything the choice is overwhelming. Perhaps too much thrown at a weary traveller upon arrival.
The faciities were casual and central to most locations. Could have done with some stools to make better use of the bench.
Location was good, a short walk to the marina areas (although up a short steep hill) and close distance to other attractions on the island. The bungalows had a really tropical feel and where very clean.
The only negatives where, the bathroom was a little dated with a small shower and that the air con was poor which would mean it would be very hot in the summer months.
